Manor Lords is doing pretty well, Huh" It crushed it in parallel to the tune of 100,000 medieval landowners in the first day alone. Except for mods, it is.

Look, Manor Lords doesn't have official mod support yet — but if you know anything about modders, you'll know it won't stop them. The VR mod was cropped up in the immediate vicinity, and the game's developers marveled at the technical achievements.

But just because you could be a game scientist doesn't mean that any of you stopped asking yourself if you should. 

Modder and Green Man enthusiast ProudBavaria on Twitter, I summoned Shrek the ogre to the manor lords to live a life of pastoral bliss, filled with determination that could only be described as eldritch. Judging by his peasant screams, it's not working.

Despite the fear of demons (I'm told to squeeze the jelly out of your eyes, which is said to be pretty good on toast) their small village "This made my day today," he wrote on Twitter, "mods are not yet officially supported, but after seeing this, I can see the possibilities." It can not be denied."

In other words, listen — it's inevitable that every game will include a horrible fusion of Shrek, Thomas of the tank engine, or a modified version of both. Square pegs are stuck in round holes. But I would be a less fun pedant and emphasize that the exact version to this mod lore will also include a complete gameplay overhaul.

Shrek's distinctive character is that he is a crotch-like creature who most often wants to be alone. Despite the position of power given to the medieval lords of that time, the constant demands of the peasants, for example, to stop filling the city with corpses and eggs, will likely drive the poor turf into madness. Mechanical changes would turn it from a city builder into a horror game. 

What I'm saying is we need a Lord Farquaad mod. Bonus points if you get to ride on the shoulders of your male arm.
