Do I really need to sing the praise of AMD Ryzen7 7800X3D"I buy you because it regularly tops the charts of other reviews and the "Best" list
But you may wonder only what makes it so special. After all, it's just a normal Ryzen3x processor with an extra slice of l3 cache coupled to the core chiplets 7700. Well, first of all, the 7700X is an excellent CPU in itself, but an additional 64MB of 3D V-cache elevates it to the god of the game. Under that cache is a 4.2GHz base clock and 5.0GHz boost running with 8 cores, 16 threads. This is a bit slower than the regular 7700X, but adding V-cache will slightly increase the thermal resistance of the chiplets, so AMD has lowered the base and boost clocks to counter this.
It also has a thermal design power (TPD) of 7700W, compared to the 105W of the Ryzen 120X, due to the increased energy consumption of the chip.
But it doesn't matter when giving the Ryzen7 7800X3D the right game to show what it can actually do.
In very memory-sensitive games, an extra cache of 7800X3D can really help, and in those with a lot of simulation/path search routines like Factorio, the 3D V cache works like a true turbo button on performance.
And at justAmazon345 on Amazon, it's an absolute steal. If you have an AM5-based gaming PC and you're wondering if it's worth getting a 3D V cash chip, now is as good a time to take the plunge and try it out. Unlike Intel's chips, whose peak power consumption is much higher than the standard TDP, the Ryzen7 7800X3D doesn't work well beyond 120W, so it's much easier to keep cool
In fact, there's only one thing that spoils the V-cache party.1 Now, the 2nd thing is, if you count on the fact that Intel's Core I7 14700K is a better chip for serious productivity tasks (more threads and higher boost), it's not too far for AMD to launch the Zen5 architecture, but it's still faster, even if it's just a bit faster than the Zen4. But I don't think you'll see the ryzen7 9800X3D for a while because AMD traditionally takes the time to launch the 3D V-cached version of the best chips
So get the 7800X3D and enjoy the great game chops of the year.
