Disgraced Eldenring players bypass the biggest decisive battle in Shadow of the Elder Tree without entering the boss room.

Just as a Dark Souls boss can be defeated by hurling hundreds of shit pies over the wall, the two-faced magic knight of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Eldest Tree can be defeated without even stepping into the boss room.

Some players have found that Lerana, the Twin Moon Knight, has no answer to Tarnished, who stands outside the arena and hurls magic at her until she dies; X user Ziostorm demonstrated the disgraceful act of hurling long-range magic through the fog wall He posted a video of himself doing so. However, it must be not just a wall of fog, but a wall of fog that can only be reached by going behind the castle of Ensis, her stronghold.

Quite a few spells work: Ziostorm recommends "Flame of the Fell God," but other methods on YouTube include Moonveil's ranged attacks, the DLC's "Impenetrable Thorns" and even Rellana's own "Carian Sovereignty". If it's big enough to hit her standing in the middle of the room, it gets the job done.

I don't usually try to convince people to bother with bosses, but Rellana is one of the best fights in the DLC and is usually worth at least a few attempts. She is a two-fisted Karian knight who slams a magic moon into the ground that must be jumped over with a Mario jump. It's the most exhilarating duel in the game. However, she can also slice through so quickly that you don't have time to respond, so I can see why you might want to skip her altogether.

If you must fight, first go through the canyon southeast of Castle Encis and fly through two sealed spirit springs to enter the Fortress of Reprimand. Through there is Skadu Altus, and if you follow the road north, you will reach the back entrance to the Encis Castle, where Rellana's misty gate is located; note that the Ziostorm video does not show Rellana trying to fight back, but she is awake and killing this player through the gate.

This trick won't last long. FromSoft is quite keen to fix the way the boss is killed without even needing to enter the room. But if they do fix it, it should be a lot easier if you eat a lot of scud tree debris on the route around Castle Encis before fighting her. Alternatively, you could leave the poor woman alone to mourn the complete collapse of the order she once served.
