Create Deadpool and Wolverine movies in an incredibly in-depth movie studio management simulation!

"Deadpool & Wolverine" is nudging up the box office, but you don't have to go to the cinema to enjoy it. The latest update to the movie studio management sim Blockbuster Inc. has just added a high-profile superhero that is legally distinct from Marvel.

Oddly enough, my attempt to recreate Marvel's Iron Man movie in Blockbuster Inc back in June was a disaster, and my father in the game walked out of the movie theater in disgust that I had paid for his film school education. It was painful. Maybe part of the problem was that they didn't have an Iron Man-type character, so they had to use an actor in an astronaut costume.

For fans of Deadpool and Wolverine, this problem was solved. Because now you can have the Immortal Claw Man and the Iconic Samurai in any movie you make at Blockbuster. Take a peek at these suspiciously familiar new heroes:

Yes, this is definitely an off-brand Ulvy fighting "There's a Deadpool in my house." Plus, there are heroes like Homelander from "The Boys" and copies of Wonder Woman. If you're not into superheroes, there are plenty of other genres in Blockbuster Inc. too, including pirates, gangsters, elves, and aliens. If you wanted to, you could cram them all into the same movie.

There is a lot more to manage in this sim than actors dressed like superheroes. Backlots need to be built, scriptwriters, producers, crews, cleaners, etc. need to be hired. As studios grow and expand over the decades of Hollywood history, they must pamper their talent with nice apartments, watch their budgets, build sets, buy and upgrade equipment, and research new filmmaking techniques.

Once you have the script and the crew and actors are on standby, it's not just a matter of clicking a button and making the movie. You place the actors where you want them for each scene, choose the animation, adjust camera angles and special effects, and shoot many scenes. When I'm done shooting, I can edit it and watch it perform at the box office.

My "Iron Man" parody film ("Iron Man") cost $500,000 and only made a quarter of that. Not enough to pop the cork on the champagne, but I still planned a sequel. You might have better luck with a Deadpool knockoff or a Wolverine bargain; Blockbuster Inc is available on Steam.
