There is good news and sad news for Grand Theft Auto fans eagerly awaiting the next installment in the series: in its latest quarterly financial report, Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive confirmed that "Grand Theft Auto 6" is scheduled for release in the fall of 2025.
This latest information was announced as part of Take-Two's Q1 FY2025 earnings release:
Here's the good news: the fall 2025 release window, first revealed in May as part of Take-Two's year-end FY2024 earnings report, remains intact . The bad news, as you may have noticed, is that a PC release has not yet been hinted at; GTA6 will naturally be released on PC at some point, but given the series' history, we may have to wait a bit longer. Grand Theft Auto 5, for example, was released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September 2013, but not until April 2015.
Unfortunately, Take-Two is reluctant to share a little, if any, more information about "Grand Theft Auto 6" at this time. When asked during the Q&A portion of today's investor conference call about the current state of development and whether GTA6 is still in "core development" or nearing testing, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said, "There is no set answer to that question, and in any case, we It's not an insight that we would state," he replied.
Well, it's worth a try. Take-Two's next quarterly report will be in November.
