Everything is duct-taped together": Fallout London project leader talks about all the bugs, including the infamous train crash.

Fallout: According to PCG writer Joshua Wolens, London is a really great mod.

Since the mod's release, players have reported several game-over crashes. Not only is the game likely to crash when taking the train to travel around apocalyptic London, but there is also a strange bug that causes the player's HP to be cut in half.

"The train crash issue is pretty well known and has been reported quite a lot," said project manager Dean Carter in an interview with VG247. 'We've never had that happen. If that had happened, we wouldn't have released it. None of the testers had anything like that. I don't know if anything actually happened in the final upload, but it was a bit of a surprise to us.

"You put your heart and soul into everything, but eventually you realize that no matter how hard you try, it's all held together with duct tape... [Fallout:London's] coming together better than we thought it would, but a lot of the problems we have or people have reported Many of the problems are rather not what we have."

Fallout: London's development team Team FOLON promises to release a major hotfix ASAP, but until then, the only solution to the post-train crash HP bug is to finish your math homework.

"It will basically be a hotfix that includes something like Buffout 4. We never mentioned it before because we didn't have permission to do so. Now that we have released it, obviously, they want to work with us, so now we are going to do a hotfix that includes something like Buffout 4.

Some problems can be remedied fairly easily without the help of a hotfix. If you run into problems, first check out the Solutions Megathread put together by Team FOLON. Failure to follow the correct download procedure may result in crashes or bugs.

"The biggest complaint we've had is when people install wrong and say it's our fault," says Carter. 'We know it's not the easiest install on Steam. We understand that, and we've done our best. But we have a technical support team that helps us with that kind of thing."

We've found Fallout: London to be a pretty unforgiving experience, thanks to a next-gen update to Fallout 4 that messed up Fallout: London's compatibility, Mod, you'll need to downgrade your version to play it; Team FOLON previously announced that the latest version of Fallout 4 was "not stable enough."

But despite all the technical difficulties, Carter said Fallout: The release itself went much better than we thought it would.
