In the year 2055, New York City is... Pixelated. It is also a battleground between factions: the police (who are corrupt), corporations (who are corrupt), and the Yakuza (who are Yakuza). As an up-and-coming crime family hitman, you will take down all the other factions in a city-wide gunfight.
Neon Inferno is a run-and-gun side-scroller that also lets you shoot background enemies in a gallery shooter style. Developer Zenovia Interactive describes it as “like playing Contra and Wild Guns at the same time.”
The game has two-player co-op, allowing players to choose between Mariana Vitti and Angelo Morano, the very Iron Fist-like protagonists.
