K-Pop Legends BTS Premiere New Music Video at Fortnite

BTS, the South Korean pop group with arguably the world's most rabid fan base since The Beatles, will premiere a new music video for Fortnite, Epic Games announced Monday in a video featuring the band.

BTS will premiere a new choreographed video for their single "Dynamite" on Friday, September 25. The music video will premiere at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

BTS will premiere the new music video in Fortnite's Party Royale mode. This is essentially Fortnite's social hub, where players carry no weapons and just share a common space to play, chat, and watch the many concerts that developer Epic Games has held in the past year. In recent months, artists such as Diplo, Young Thug, and Anderson .Paak have been featured.

But no one cares about those artists. How can I see BTS on Fortnite?

If you are new to Fortnite, download the game from the Epic Game Store or from the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. Click on the download button at the top right of the page.

Once you have downloaded the game, created an account, and joined the game, you will want to enter the Party Royale mode. Click the "Change" button on the right side of the main menu to switch to Party Royale.

Simply select Party Royale mode and choose "Play." You will be loaded into a queue to enter the Fortnite Party Royale island.

Once on the Party Royale island, head to the main stage. The main stage is located on the east side of the map.

You will want to arrive at least a few minutes early. At high-traffic events such as these concerts, many Fortnite players will try to enter. Imagine Disney World on a bad weather day; Epic is usually quite accommodating to everyone's enjoyment, but it pays to be cautious.

BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a seven-piece South Korean boy band and the best-selling artist in South Korean history.Formed in 2010 and making their official debut in 2013, BTS has performed at Wembley Stadium, the Rose Bowl, the Grammy Awards, and numerous late night shows.

Their music (originally hip-hop, which has since evolved into a more accessible pop/R&B) has been showcased at the Wembley Stadium, the Rose Bowl, the Grammy Awards, and on numerous late-night television shows.

Their single "Dynamite" debuted in August 2020 and was the first song for BTS to be recorded in English; BTS has actually already released two music videos for "Dynamite" (side A and side B with different camera angles), but the " Fortnite" video is clearly focused solely on the choreography.

Interestingly, Dynamite debuted at #1 on the Billboard 100, making BTS the first Korean group to reach the top spot.

If you're just getting into "Fortnite" thanks to BTS, there's plenty to do besides shooting other players.
