Now is not the best time to buy a graphics card, but if you can't resist any longer, you might as well get something for your money. Purchase a qualifying GeForce RTX graphics card and receive a copy of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Gold Edition at no additional charge.
This isn't the most enticing offer in the world, but it's not for nothing either: the title is nearly five years old, but it remains a popular shooter. That's thanks in part to Ubisoft's continued support, including the recent "Year 5" Season Pass (included with the Gold Edition). Also, in the esports arena, the older the game, the more likely it is to be loved for a long time.
Nvidia calls this the "Frames Win Games" bundle. This is based on the sales pitch that all GeForce RTX graphics cards can maintain 144 fps or higher at high 1080p settings based on a test configuration built around a Core i9 9900K CPU.
"Because playing at high fps allows you to reach your full potential, Nvidia recommends running at least a GeForce RTX 2060 for competitive gameplay to consistently achieve 144+ fps," Nvidia states. [There is no denying the fact that new GPUs are on the way, both from Nvidia Ampere and AMD RDNA 2 cards. If we can refrain from upgrading to the next generation of GPUs and how that will affect the pricing of current GPUs, we should do so.
Intel also plans to announce the first modern discrete GPU (since Larrabee) this year, but the first Intel Xe announcement is likely to be a lower power, mobile form only, and not something that will challenge Nvidia and AMD at the high end It is expected. But anything can happen.
This bundle is not complicated. The GPUs covered include the GeForce RTX 2060, 2060 Super, 2070, 2070 Super, 2080, 2080 Super, and 2080 Ti. In other words, the entire GeForce RTX series (but not any of the GeForce GTX models, Turing or otherwise). It also includes GPUs in embedded desktops and laptops.
Of course, they must be purchased from a participating vendor. Be sure to check the Terms of Service for the fine print involved, and the FAQ for replacement FAQs.
