Fight furniture in the surreal puzzle adventure "Creeks"!

Amanita Design, purveyors of very strange and often funny adventure games, released the side-scrolling platform puzzle game "Creaks" this week. Beautifully illustrated and fantastically scored, the adventure is about a man who walks through walls into an unrealistic world full of birdmen and furniture monsters. What happens next is, as one might expect, rather bizarre.

The gameplay in "Creeks" is unusual, so don't expect the usual brain-rolling, amanita-designed puzzles. It is all about timing and sequence of operations in a live environment. Suitable for playing on the couch with a controller, this is an interesting foray into a new environment from a well-known studio that previously worked on only one type of game. Of course, if you're playing for the surreal environment and Amanita's unique visual style, you'll have plenty of fun with "Creeks" as well.

Amanita Design is well known to modern adventure gamers for their early Steam adventure hit Machinarium and its follow-up series Samorost. Their previous release before Creaks was the experimental adventure game Pilgrims, which we called one of the hidden gems of PC gaming in 2019 and is currently receiving "overwhelmingly positive reviews" from Steam reviewers.

"Creaks" is available for $20 on all distribution platforms.
