The screenshots of "Coffee Noir" look like three different games. One looks like a moment in a visual novel in which a young woman is talking to a young woman working in a bakery. Another shows a hard-boiled detective in a trench coat in a dingy, rainy train station, with a comic book narration box explaining the story. Another shows a complex control panel of a coffee maker with dials and knobs labeled "packaging equipment," "roasting machine," and "forklift," pictures of ledgers, and what appears to be a single book on business negotiation strategies.
Yet it is all one game, a management sim about running a coffee company and a hard-boiled noir detective story with the feel of both a comic book and a visual novel. And it takes place in future London.
Coffee Noir ...... All these words got me. Here's the hot trailer:
"A unique combination of a business management game and a detective story, featuring elegant graphics in a noir comic-like art style.
"Experience an advanced business management simulation along with an engaging story set in Neo-London."
Yes, I am interested in both running and managing a coffee company and solving disappearances, and as the site says, I am challenged to "gain the trust of business partners and win good deals as well as obtain vital clues to solve the mystery of the crime."
All that, please; Coffee Noir is scheduled for release later this year. Here's a screenshot:
