Free Games Week in the Epic Games store has begun, and through July 30, indies Next Up Hero and Tacoma can be yours permanently.

Next Up Hero is a 2D dungeon crawler by indie studio Digital Continue that features really nice-looking animations and colorful presentation. Players say it's quite challenging, so be prepared for a challenge.

Tacoma is the second game and second walking sim by Fullbright, the developers of Gone Home. You play as an employee of a space insurance company, tasked with finding out what happened on the Tacoma, a completely unmanned spaceship.Tacoma shines with great writing and truly realistic characters, and is an all-around goodie for anyone who likes a good story: we 84/ 100 reviews, calling it a "smart, thoughtful sci-fi mystery."

Next Up Hero and Tacoma will be available for free on the Epic Games Store through July 30. After that, three new titles will be added: 20XX, Barony, and Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP.
