My favorite skateboarding sim "Session" is undergoing a physics overhaul.

In a Steam update posted today, the makers of the skateboarding simulator Session say that updates will slow down for the foreseeable future because they are currently "busy with massive physics work."

Session is a bit tricky to learn, but once you get the hang of its shimmying skateboarding controls, it's fantastic; PC Gamer's resident skater, James, last year described it as the most authentic skateboarding game ever.

However, it is still an Early Access version on Steam, and it is clear that Crea-ture Studios is not satisfied with the rework. According to the studio, the next phase of development, the "session" physics simulation overhaul, will take so much time that it is being called "serious surgery."

Once the overhaul is complete, the studio writes, the normal pace of updates will resume. [At least, assuming it gets better on the other end, there's no reason to expect it won't.

"In addition to the sessions being cool, we recently heard that a new skate game is in the works.
