Adventure
Snowrunner, next week, will go in search of WWII relics.

Snowrunner will be immersed in archaeology next week. The cold and muddy sim is about to get its first major update with the first Season Pass offering, which will drive hardy off-road types to search for World War II bombers that crashed.

If you have the Season Pass or Snowrunner Premium Edition, you can head to the new Russian region, which includes two snowmaps, where you can begin your archaeological adventure. It will be a nice change of pace to haul loads and help unstack wagons. They will also be able to get new vehicles and skins and start customizing their interiors.

For those who are still working their way through the base game, there is quite a bit of volume, so you don't have to pay for the DLC to enjoy the new stuff. In addition to new missions, you will also get your own maps and modification tools to help you create cosmetic items in your car; some of the additions in the DLC will only be available during group play with friends who already own the car.

Snowrunner Season 1: Search and Rescue is scheduled for release on July 15, but while we wait, we can admire some fascinating screenshots. For a game about fighting mud and ice in a big, lumbering vehicle, it sure is pretty.
