Update: After the store listing appeared on Steam, Quantic Dream announced that three games-Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human-will be available on Steam on June 18 Heavy Rain and Beyond: Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls will each cost $20, while the newer Detroit: Become Human will cost $40.
Original story here:
It's been almost a year since Quantic Dream got us strangely excited when it brought its previously PlayStation-exclusive adventure "Heavy Rain" to PC via the Epic Games Store. Then, almost certainly not coincidentally, "Beyond: Two Souls" appeared on Steam, along with "Detroit: Beyond: Two Souls" and "Detroit: Become Human."
All three games will support Steam achievements; the Epic Store does not yet support achievements, but they are included in the "up next" category on the EGS roadmap: as well as cloud saves and other store-exclusive features, Steam is still "learning."
As Andy said before "Heavy Rain" hit the Epic Games Store last year, Quantic Dream's adventure is "full of flaws" but is still "an undeniably unique experience. For example, "Heavy Rain" has a great premise and is "dark and occasionally seductive," he said in his 69 out of 100 review, but "the script is close to Tommy Wiseau's first draft. "Detroit: Become Human faces similar criticism: The production values are gorgeous, but "as usual, the game lacks any semblance of subtlety and was written by David Cage."
Fortunately, a demo exists so you can get a taste of what it's all about without having to put any money into it. Meanwhile, if you're already a fan of Quantic Dream's work, the studio has launched a new online store, selling packaged versions of all three games and other merchandise.
