Bossa Studios has not said much about its medical malpractice sim, Surgeon Simulator 2, since its announcement in December. However, they are holding a brief playtest, and one will be held this weekend.
The closed alpha playtest will take place tomorrow, May 23, at 7 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT) through the Epic Games Store. Those who want to don scrubs and explore human entrails need to sign up first.
Aside from some concept art and a trailer, little has been said about the sequel. According to Bossa, the playtest is massive, with lots of updates and new features.
Seven years ago, Surgeon Simulator was a bizarre novelty, but these days you can't browse Steam and wade through a dozen weird physics simulators. Not much has changed over the years, but it's almost become a single genre. Could the sequel to this film, one of the originals, change things?
Surgeon Simulator 2 will be released in 2020.
