The cancellation of this year's convention due to the coronavirus outbreak is a bummer for the big publishers, but the biggest blow to the indies: PC indies really only sell by word of mouth, and they need convention attendees to get their games known. It's a big blow to the indies. Non-refundable airfare sucks too.
Valve tried to ease the pain by pushing a digital page for a new game that was supposed to be on display at EGX Rezzed this weekend. (Perhaps it will be held in July as well?) The Rezzed Digital collection is a visual feast, a scrolling wall of gorgeous, silly-looking games that soothe me in these difficult times. It promises a wonderful future with new games coming our way. Here are some of my highlights:
