As the 4K screen (up to 60Hz) combined with the GTX 1660 Ti graphics card indicates, this is definitely a content production laptop first and a gaming laptop second. While it will not be possible to play most games at native 4K resolution, the AMOLED screen will still give a great experience, as 1080p scales up perfectly to 4K (and the 1660 Ti can definitely handle 1080p games). And the 1660 Ti should be able to play less demanding laptop games at 4K as well; 8GB of RAM is not ideal for recent intensive tasks. You may want to upgrade to 16GB in the future for better performance.
Our friends at TechRadar reviewed a higher-end version with an RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics card, calling the laptop's "new 4K HDR screen a color-calibrated portable work display and high-resolution gaming monitor on the go as a color-calibrated portable work display or high-resolution on-the-go gaming monitor, better than any other product we've seen."
