A few weeks ago, when this system dropped to $1,300, we featured it as one of the cheapest gaming PCs, and although we didn't know it at the time, the $150 price drop was permanent. And now? it's on sale at Newegg for $1,099.99.
Perhaps this will be a permanent price drop as well. As it stands, Newegg's listing shows this price through Monday. Either way, this is an additional $200 savings on top of the recent $150 price cut.
Compared to building your own PC, this system is a bit more affordable when you factor in the cost of Windows; except for Windows, the system is basically the same, but the balance tilts either way depending on sales, mail-in rebates, and which components you choose.
This is a fast system backed by a Ryzen 7 3700X processor and a GeForce RTX 2060 Super GPU, which supports 8 cores and 16 threads on the CPU side and real-time ray tracing on the graphics side.
Other hardware includes 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB solid state drive. Of course, a 1TB SSD would be nice, but the storage can easily be upgraded at any time if the need arises.
