It has been a little while since I last wrote about bargains on gaming motherboards. This is because, to be honest, there were not many attractive deals to be had. However, this motherboard is one of the most feature-packed X570 motherboards on the market, and at $30 off, it's the lowest price we've seen so far.
That motherboard is Gigabyte's X570 Aorus Elite WiFi. Normally priced at $209.99, it is now available on Amazon for $179.99. While not the cheapest of the X570 motherboards, most comparable models cost over $200. It is overall similar to the somewhat higher-end MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi, one of the best gaming motherboards currently on sale for $229.99.
If you are building a PC with AMD's latest generation Ryzen 3000 series processors (Zen 2), you will need the X570 chipset. This is the only consumer chipset that supports PCI Express 4.0. While not really relevant for gaming, it allows you to take full advantage of the very fast PCIe 4.0 SSDs, which are useful for moving large files around.
This particular board is built for the rigors of overclocking, with robust components to provide clean, reliable power to the CPU and heavy-duty heatsinks to keep things cool. It also offers both wired (many USB ports) and wireless (onboard Wi-Fi connectivity) connectivity options.
Luxury amenities are also available. For example, there is a "Q-Flash Plus" button for easily updating the BIOS (no CPU, memory, or graphics card required) and a button for clearing the CMOS.
