Stephen Lavelle aka Increpare's new puzzle game is cause to stop what you are doing and give it a try. He is also the creator of Stephen's Sausage Rolls and English Country Tunes. Now he has released Schwerkraftprojektionsgerät and it fills the free time I have.
As I struggled to get the name Scchwerkraftprojektionsgerät out of my mouth, I started calling it in simpler terms: if Tetris were a demon with four faces. If Tetris were a demon with four faces". Yes, as tricky as that sounds.
The game starts in a cross-shaped game space with a tetromino in the center. The tetrominoes can be moved freely up, down, left, and right. Once a tetromino is placed in the desired location, pressing a button causes the tetromino to fall in all directions.
As with any Tetris game, the goal is to fill in the lines, but that can be tricky if you try to play four games at once. The difficulty comes not from the constant ticking of falling tetrominoes, but from trying to set yourself up to determine the line in one game without stacking too many tetrominoes in the other three games. If even one tetromino gets close to the center, the game is over.
You can play Schwerkraftprojektionsgerät in your browser for free. If that whets your appetite, you might want to check out the best puzzle game on PC for once.
