Important details about Destiny's next big seasonal update have been discovered by Data Miner. The new season will debut on March 9 and will be called Season of the Worthy. In addition to new community events, Season 10 will likely bring back Destiny's hardcore PvP mode, Trials of Osiris.
The road to Trials should begin with the arrival of the Empyrean Foundation event next week. According to the data-mined description, the Empyrean Foundation will open with an activity called "Worthy," asking players to "provide significant support for restoration efforts and rekindle the lighthouse to usher in a new era for the Guardian."
Familiar to "Destiny" fans, the Lighthouse is a special place on Mercury that was only available to trial winners in "Destiny 1."
Bungie will reveal more details about the Empyrean Foundation event in tomorrow's "This Week at Bungie" blog update. Bungie will reveal more details about the Empyrean Foundation event in tomorrow's blog update, "This Week at Bungie," but we do know that players will need to continue to "donate Polarized Fractaline to the Tower Obelisk" in order to participate in the mission. According to Triumph in the game, this will consume 5K of precious Fractaline.Ginsor, Destiny's skilled data miner, confirmed the long-rumored return of Trials in an "other" tweet. The dataminer also found several references to the upcoming "Crimson Days" Valentine's Day event, mentioning a couple of new sparrows and a weekly bounty that rewards a heart of delicious candy.
It has been a busy week for Bungie. The latest update had to be rolled back because it removed many players' glimmer, rare materials, and in some cases even silver, the in-game currency paid in real money.
