Through February 13, Monster Hunter: Monster Hunter: World is currently holding its second anniversary festival. At this festival, you can unlock special sparkly armor and complete rare event quests that only happen a few times a year. There is a lot to do, but only one of the limited-time event quests really matters. It's called "Beef is Never a Mistake," and the reward for completing this quest is a giant turkey leg disguised as a hammer. If there is a must-have weapon in the Monster Hunter's arsenal right now, it is definitely this one.
On Fextralife's wiki page for the Juicy Well-done Hammer, someone pointed out that "With no decoration and only blue for cutting ability, the only thing that makes this weapon stand out is its attack power." They seem to miss the fact that the Juicy Well-done Hammer is a hunk of meat big enough to put Disneyland and the Medieval Times to shame, and that you can hit a monster in the face with it. Personally, I think this is very important.
Observe:
To be clear, the Well Done Hammer is not actually made from a turkey. I don't believe turkeys exist in Monster Hunter. Given that this hammer was used in hunting, my guess is that it is the leg of a very angry dog-like dinosaur called Odogalon, or a Tyrannosaurus that can be struck after setting its tail on fire called Gravenus. I look forward to hunting both creatures with weapons made of parts of my own body, a twist that monster hunters are known for.
If you play MHW while the Anniversary Fest is going on, be sure to complete enough of the "Beef is Never a Mistake" event quests to get the materials needed to craft and upgrade the "Well-made Hammer". Also, try another event quest, "50 Shades of White," to earn the tickets needed to craft the new Iceborn weapon.
