Sam's Story is the second expansion for the moody post-apocalyptic FPS Metro Exodus, but the first to follow in the footsteps of the base game's sandbox. The expansion, which launches next month, follows the journey of Sam, an American Marine stuck in Russia after doomsday struck. He sets his sights on Vladivostok in order to return to the United States.
While its predecessor, "The Two Colonels," was linear and claustrophobic, "Sam's Story" seems to open up a bit, with 4A Games' non-linear survival that made "Metro Exodus" feel the closest to the new "Stalker" s method, leaning more toward a "Stalker" approach. [4A Games says, "Sam leaves Aurora in search of a way back to the U.S., arriving at the tsunami-devastated port of Vladivostok, abandoned industrial buildings, and the ruins of a crumbling residential neighborhood." To complete the journey, Sam will find that every tactic he has learned so far is necessary for survival."
He will be able to explore the unfriendly Russian wastelands and search around for things that will help him survive, such as new weapons to defeat the new mutant species.
Sam's Story will be released on February 11, a few days before the Epic Games Store exclusivity ends, so you will be able to get it through Epic or via Steam.
