The Walking Dead games were delisted from Steam in late 2018, falling victim to the sudden collapse of developer Telltale Games. Since then, Skybound Games, the owner of the new series, has restored it to the Epic Games store, and those who have already purchased it can now buy it on Steam. In addition, the store page no longer appears in searches, although the direct link to the following is still available for purchase.
This situation will change soon, as Skybound announced today that Telltale's The Walking Dead Season 1, Season 2, The New Frontier, and The Final Season will all be re-released on Steam later this week. None of the games are currently available for purchase, but when they are re-released they will be $15 each. In the meantime, if you want to get a taste of what the games are like, a 2.5 GB demo of "The Final Season" is still available from the Steam page. [The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series on the Epic Games Store includes all four seasons, "400 Days" and "Michonne," and is $10 cheaper with enhanced graphics and bonus content. Skybound also plans to release a new Walking Dead VR game called Saints and Sinners in the next few days. It will be available on January 23 for $40/£31/€34 and will be compatible with Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Vive; it will be compatible with Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality headsets; it will also be compatible with the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality.
