The VR fantasy slash-up "Blade and Sorcery" has a new mod packed with 95 different weapons. The physics simulation is at the heart of the game, as it is the weapons and how they are used that makes "Blade and Sorcery" truly special. There are some genuinely new weapons in the game, including a big fantasy heavy sword. There are others: a volcano-exploding sword, a poison sword that convulses the enemy, a sword that explodes blood, a sword that puts you to sleep, a sword that sucks your soul, a sword that evokes the wrath of the gods and explodes it into guts that immediately fly in all directions. This is exactly the kind of abuse that a fully mod-enabled, fully physics-driven game demands, and I'm all for it. Seriously, I can't stop laughing at parts of this trailer:
At the 51 second mark, a woman gets stabbed and comically sprays blood like a punctured hose. It's completely over the top and I love it. This is exactly the kind of abuse that is required in a mod-compatible, physics-driven, close-combat VR game, and I'm all for it.
"Blade and Sorcery" is available on Steam and "Fantasy MegaPack" is available on NexusMods.
