It's been a little while since "Skywind," the mod that remade "The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind" within "The Elder Scrolls 5," or "a fan-made port to an upgraded engine," as it is fashionably described. At this point, modders have remade and completely reworked the environments, models, and game mechanics of "Morrowind" within the "Skyrim" engine, and the mod team's fifth and latest developer diary and community update introduces many nice new features:
starting with an introduction to the new landscapes and environments, followed by a video detailing the depth of design that has gone into the game. The team's work is in many ways indistinguishable from professional material, and impressive equipment and tools are shown off at every level. This is because I literally make my living watching and talking to professional game designers at work. Such work illustrates a fascinating and unique aspect of modern game design: professionals and amateurs alike have access to nearly the same tools. All I'm saying is that someone should let the Skywind team spend a few hours in a mo-cap studio.
If you are interested in helping, the Skywind team has several needs right now: we need a game concept artist, an experienced QA member, an experienced project manager, and a talented level design artist. We are also looking for people with less technical skills to help with the project with very simple voice editing tasks for voice dialogue. for more information about Skywind, please visit The Elder Scrolls Renewal: Skywind's website at Skywind website for more information.
