Frictional Games, the horror game company behind "Amnesia" and "SOMA," has been teasing its next project for about a week now. While it remains a complete mystery, there is a strange pulsating thing at the center of Next Frictional Game's website, and now it has begun to grow.
When first seen, the object looked like a neuron, and since Frictional has remained silent on social media, the only clue was on the site. The site was launched during the developer's first game, Penumbra, and has since been used to showcase new games.
The developer has not shared any additional clues since it began teasing the new game, but the neurons have evolved into something else, which also does not reveal too much; discovered by The Gamer, it is still gray and pulsating, but now looks like a cell.
Frictional may be raising monsters, but usually studio creatures don't like to be in the spotlight and wait in the shadows to terrorize you in the game; it will no doubt be a sci-fi setting, but at this point we know nothing yet. Nothing is known at this point.
It's taking a while to get from neuron to cell, so don't expect answers anytime soon. Nevertheless, "SOMA" was released in 2015, so you should be used to waiting for Frictional to scare you.
