If you have a box of surprises and want to unleash them all at once, CES is the perfect opportunity to do just that. Today, Asus unveiled new laptops, desktops, monitors, and mice, but perhaps the biggest announcement came at AMD's press conference.

Both models are designed with gaming and media production in mind: the Zephyrus G14 is ultra-light at only 1.6 kg, and the chassis is 17.9 mm thin. Externally, it features a programmable LED dot matrix (Asus calls it the "AniMe matrix") on the lid. (The desk is also fingerprint-resistant; the G15 is slightly larger at 19.9 mm and 2.1 kg, and has dropped the RGB lighting in favor of a simple white backlight. [On the hardware side, the G14 and G15 feature up to RTX 2060, up to 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD storage; on the G14, users can choose from three 14-inch displays (120Hz 1080p IPS panel, 60Hz 1440p IPS panel, Both Zephyrus models also support Wifi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0. support.

Asus claims that the G14 and G15 feature an "unparalleled cooling design."

The G14 features an ErgoLift hinge, which tilts the keyboard to a more comfortable angle and raises the bottom of the display at the back to provide more room for air vents. Asus also claims that the G 14's "self-cleaning" cooling, which it claims reduces dust and dirt buildup; the G15 is similar, but with a special twist that "improves airflow by 17%." The Zephyrus G14 and G15 are expected to be available in Q1-Q2 2020.

Next in the lineup are Asus' four new desktops, the ROG Strix GA15/GT15 and ROG Strix GA35/GT35. These include up to an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X (or Intel's 10th generation Comet Lake-S processor), RTX 2080 Ti, 1TB SSD storage, and 64GB DDR4-3200 memory. A mouse and keyboard are included.

The GA15/GT15 has a more modest Ryzen 7 3800X (or Intel's 10th generation Comet Lake-S processor), RTX 2080 Super, 1TB SSD storage, and 32GB DDR4-3200 memory. A mouse and keyboard are also included.

Whatever the final configuration, it is all housed in a new case and retains some of the same look as the ROG Strix GL12CX, like the rainbow stripes cutting diagonally through the center Asus says, "The windshear design of the GA35 and GT35 allows internal cooling system, featuring wider vents to allow more air to be drawn in; the CPU, GPU, and power supply are separated by "three internal chambers" to "minimize thermal interference. Asus also showed off new peripherals: two monitors and a mouse; we previously covered the ROG swift 360Hz gaming monitor, and Asus also displayed the new ROG Swift PG32UQX. It has a peak brightness of 1400 nits and is G-Sync Ultimate certified.

The ROG Strix Impact wireless gaming mouse has a sensitivity of 16,000 dpi, which Asus says is more than 2.5 times the maximum sensitivity of wired models, with an accuracy of 400 inches per second.
