A few days ago, ASRock posted a product page for AMD's unannounced (but often rumored) Radeon RX 5600 XT, but quickly took it offline after it was widely covered on the Internet; XFX, not to be outdone, released its own custom model, the Radeon RX 5600 XT Thicc II Pro product page.
Whether this will be removed remains to be seen. Since this is a "staged" article, it means, at least on the surface, that XFX prepared the details in anticipation of releasing them at a later date. It is also possible that it is a false leak.
In any case, the product page lends further credence to the rumored specifications of the upcoming card. Namely, it is listed as having 2,304 stream processors and 6GB of GDDR6 memory with data supplied via a 192-bit bus; given that the same specs appear in two different premature product listings by two of AMD's hardware partners, these specs are extremely unlikely to be incorrect.
What we are seeing is essentially a scaled-down version of the Radeon RX 5700; the 5600 XT has the same number of stream processors, but with less memory, narrower bus widths, and slower clocks.
For comparison, let's look at the leaked Radeon RX 5600 XT specifications:
Also, here are the 5700 (non-XT) configurations:
Both XFX and ASRock list overclocked models, but other leaked information (especially two MSI 5600 XT models), Videocardz reports stock clocks of 1,130MHz (base), 1,375MHz (game), and 1,560MHz (boost).
For reference, Jarred found the 5700 (non-XT) to be about 5% faster than the GeForce RTX 2060 (non-Super) at 1080p Medium, 8% faster at 1080p Ultra, 11% faster at 1440p Ultra, and 15% faster at 4K Ultra (no ray tracing) Findings.
Whether the 5600 XT will take its place as the best graphics card for gaming, as it generally does, will hinge on price. Below are the MSRPs for AMD's existing Navi lineup:
The 5700 has an MSRP of $349, while the cheapest Newegg model sells for $329.99. Otherwise, these cards are sold at AMD's recommended price. Based on the above, we expect the 5600 XT to debut around $299 unless AMD completely revamps its pricing structure. [AMD has scheduled a press conference at CES on January 6 at 2 p.m. PT.
