Adventure
Lake is a chill free-roaming driving sim set in 1980s Oregon, featuring a postal worker.

Set in Providence Oaks, Oregon in 1986, "Lake" is an incredibly clean and chill game about getting to know the town's quirky locals while delivering mail.

The player is Meredith Weiss, who interrupts her high-flying career in the city to return to her small hometown as a mail carrier. It's an incredibly cool and unique premise, and I'm already in love with the game's peaceful atmosphere and cozy visuals. [The trailer shows Meredith driving a mail truck through the scenic forests of Oregon, stopping at beautifully detailed places to drop off letters and packages. He visits emotional places such as a cabin in the woods, quaint houses, a harbor with gorgeous mountain views, and a diner.

The game is a blend of a free-roaming driving sim and a story-driven point-and-click adventure, which seems like the perfect combination. It also does a great job of selling the benefits of its pre-digital 1980s setting: a break from the always-connected, never-isolated modern world."

It also allows users to correct "mistakes" they make as they progress through the interactive story. The developers also state that "thanks to the intricately branching narrative," every player can have his or her own unique playthrough.

"Lake" looks like "Alan Wake" minus the scary bits, and we can't wait for its release later this year.
