Adobe's intention to end Flash at the end of 2020 has been known since 2017. While few will miss it, the announcement did not bode well for the myriad Flash games that proliferated online throughout the 2000s. While some have already recognized this aspect of gaming history and are working to preserve it, a new launcher has emerged that emulates more than 36,000 old games.

The launcher is called "Flashpoint" and is an impressive effort, especially for those who love the quaint browser games of old. As the trailer below shows, it is simple to use: simply browse through the (huge) list and double-click on the game you want to play. The game will then start downloading and will be emulated by Flashpoint. A launcher is required to play the game, because the emulator makes the game function as if it were hosted online.
