Slay the Spire has been given a boost with the official Patch 2.0 version. New Relics and potions have been added, as well as a new potion lab.
Watcher has been testing since September and naturally has her own cards and relics. According to an article Fraser wrote last year, she is "a blind practitioner visiting to "evaluate" Spire. She likes miracles and peeking at the cards in the draw pile.
A long list of balance changes is documented on Steam's community blog, along with lots of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. Mod support has been "improved", although it may cause conflicts with mods designed for version 1.1.
Finally, there is a new potion lab that provides easy access to resources on all spells available in the game. Fourteen new ones have been added in this patch alone.
The full patch notes are here. Evan loved Slay the Spire and wrote in his review, "A strategically deep deck builder that, with any luck, has created a brilliant new subgenre. It won our 2019 Best Design Award.
