Watch a Minecraft player get shocked by a dog collar every time he takes damage!

If you frequent the Minecraft forums on Reddit, you may have seen a recent post by a player who said that he had set up his game to receive real electric shocks when he took damage. This turned out to be a fake, and the post was eventually deleted. Oddly enough, however, there have been real experiments with this painful idea for several months now.

YouTuber and Minecrafter Dream convinced his friend GeorgeNotFound to wear a shock collar on his arm while they tried to beat Minecraft together. The collar was connected to the game so that every time George took damage in Minecraft, he would receive a real electric shock, no joke. A painful (and very funny) video of this can be seen above.

WARNING: As you can imagine, the video has George screaming loudly, so protect your ears. So basically, when the monster gets close to him, he lets out a deafening scream, runs away, and asks Dream for help. This is, without a doubt, the scariest way to play Minecraft. For in addition to the virtual pain, there is real pain waiting for you.

How did they pull this off? The video below from their new channel, DreamTech, explains the step-by-step process of scientifically torturing George: buy a remote-controlled dog shock collar from Amazon, wire the remote control to an Arduino board, and every time George takes damage I wrote custom code to activate the remote control.

Dream does an admirable job of protecting George during play and rushes to protect him as often as possible, but George actually gets a shock at several different points in the adventure. At one point, Dream intentionally hits George. This is because George, after taking fall damage while running from the monster, thought (rightfully so) that it hurt enough already.

Also, the shock setting on the collar was minimal, but George was still in a lot of pain.
