The tiny house craze has largely subsided, at least compared to a few years ago when it seemed like every TV station had a show featuring people moving into tiny houses, converted trailers, or even converted cargo containers. In "The Sims 4," however, it seems that the Tiny House craze is just about to begin. The "Tiny Living Stuff Pack" trailer has arrived, showcasing stylish yet tiny houses that occupy less than 100 tiles.

In addition to cute and cozy little nests, players who build or buy tiny houses have to spend less money on bills. In real life, it costs a fortune to heat a mansion, but much less energy is needed to live in a cubicle. Nevertheless, designing a tiny house would be a challenge. Sims need to be able to move around and use everything, which is a challenge even for a normal sized Sims 4 house. Space-saving features like Murphy beds (pull-out beds) have been introduced. One of them appears to tragically kill the Sim (no, he'll be fine).

However, I'm a bit skeptical of the trailer's promise that the sims who share a tiny house will be rewarded with relationships; recalling the "Microhouse" sketch in Portlandia, living in a tiny house can be taxing on the couple." This tension can be attributed to the fact that the TV room and shower room are combined, that there is a study that doubles as a bathroom, or that one must use one's partner's back as a table to butter one's toast.

But I'm sure your sims will do better. The Tiny Living Stuff Pack seems to include a lot of new (small) furniture and (regular sized) clothing. This pack will be available on January 21.
